The Council of Ministers recently approved a preliminary draft law providing for a new reimbursement procedure for professional diesel fuel in the context of the partial exemption from the special excise duty for certain categories of professional transport operators (+ 3.5 tonnes).
The purpose of this preliminary design is to adapt the existing reimbursement system in the context of digitization and administrative simplification.
In the new procedure you could benefit from the exemption by using a fuel card. On the basis of an electronic exchange of data between the operator and the Federal Public Service Finance on each refueling carried out with the fuel card at a service station, the exemption is granted after approval.
