Fuel supplier Gabriëls from Aalst and the West-Flemish energy group Power Oil, both customers of ICASA, combine their forces from now on. We had a conversation with Ignace Gabriëls who will make sure the fusion between the two companies will run smoothly.
‘Gabriëls will takes over the activities of sector colleague Power Oil after the approval of the Belgian Competition authority’, Ignace starts off. ‘This fusion will make us one of the most important independent players in the petroleum sector. We will form a strong Belgian family group with no less than 185 fuel stations in Belgium.’
Same vision and DNA
As colleagues/competitors we have known each other for years now. We are well aware of what we represent as a family enterprise. The DNA of both companies is similar and we share the same vision on entrepreneurship. This fusion offers us the ability to grow further and feels like a logical step in a more and more consolidating market. The continuity is guaranteed: in Gabriëls as well as in Power Oil the current management stays on board.
‘For the time being, both brands keep on using their white-green colors. A change of colors in the fuel stations is not yet provided. Nothing really changes for our customers. The service from their familiar fuel supplier remains the same. Only, we now offer a bigger network’, Ignace concludes.
